We are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Electrical Engineer with expertise in solar installation to join our team in Benghazi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, with a focus on solar power infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including but not limited to solar panels, inverters, batteries, and associated wiring.
- Perform electrical cable installations, including routing, termination, and connection of cables for power distribution and communication systems.
- Perform site assessments and feasibility studies for solar installations, including evaluating site conditions, solar exposure, and electrical requirements.
- Plan and coordinate solar installation projects, including the procurement of materials, scheduling of work, and coordination with other team members.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols throughout all phases of solar installation projects.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform diagnostics to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members, including training on solar installation best practices and procedures.
- Document all work performed, including installation details, maintenance records, and any modifications or repairs made to electrical systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop innovative solutions and improvements for solar power systems.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to solar power generation, electrical systems, and cable installations.
Qualifications & skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in filed electrical engineering, preferably in the telecommunications or ISP industry.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and safety regulations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex electrical problems.
- Experience in solar power systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools and software for electrical design and analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours as needed.
