Business Development:
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities within the within the relevant utility/power sectors in UAE.
- Develop long-term strategies for growing business in the region.
- Actively seek out business opportunities in the utility/ power sector, targeting companies requiring products and services like boilers, diverter dampers, valves, and rotating equipment.
- Drive sales for products, services, and projects within the relevant utility/power sectors.
- Willingness to travel both within the UAE and internationally as required for business needs.
Sales and Strategy:
- Create and implement effective sales strategies, including market entry strategies, competitive analysis, and customer acquisition plans.
- Participate in the development and execution of business development strategies.
- Meet with clients to present product offerings, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
- Acknowledge and respond promptly to RFQs (Request for Quotations), ensuring competitive proposals.
Client Engagement & Market Intelligence:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within the targeted industries.
- Gather and analyse market intelligence to identify target audiences and emerging opportunities.
- Stay informed about market trends, competition, and customer needs to align offerings accordingly.
- Maintain a proactive approach by anticipating customer requirements and delivering solutions to meet their needs.
Contract Negotiation:
- Lead negotiations with clients to secure favourable terms for both the company and the customer.
- Ensure that contracts meet company standards and satisfy customer requirements.
Travel and Client Visits:
- Meet clients in person as needed to foster strong business relationships and negotiate deals.
- Be available to travel within the UAE or abroad on a need’s basis
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is mandatory.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in sales, business development, or a similar role.
- At least 8-10 years of sales experience specifically in the UAE market.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the utility/power sector, with a focus on product sales of boilers, diverter dampers, valves, and rotating equipment.
- Local customer experience in the UAE, particularly in the utility/ power sector, is a must.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Market intelligence gathering and strategic thinking.
- Ability to anticipate customer needs and offer proactive solutions.
- This position requires availability to work Monday to Friday, with occasional work on Saturdays when necessary.
Preferred but Not Mandatory:
- Arabic speaking skills would be an asset
