Job Title: Safety Engineer with ROWPS Experience

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Engineer with expertise in Right of Way Permit System (ROWPS) to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring workplace safety on construction sites and managing the permit system to prevent unauthorized access and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This position requires thorough knowledge of UAE safety regulations and hands-on experience in ROWPS processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety protocols, procedures, and policies in compliance with UAE laws and industry standards.
- Monitor and enforce safety regulations on-site, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols.
- Manage Right of Way Permit System (ROWPS) processes, ensuring all required permits are obtained, and necessary precautions are in place before project execution.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections of work areas, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
- Provide safety training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and site personnel.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure safe work methods are incorporated into all project phases.
- Liaise with local authorities, government bodies, and external safety inspectors to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports on safety performance, inspections, and ROWPS permits.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and changes in safety regulations and ROWPS procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety engineering, with at least 2 years of experience in ROWPS within the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of UAE safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety qualification is highly desirable.
- Experience in risk assessment, accident investigation, and safety management.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to train and guide site personnel on safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using ROWPS software and tools mandatory.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the construction, infrastructure, or oil & gas sectors.
- Knowledge of environmental management and hazard control.
- Familiarity with the latest HSE regulations in the UAE.
