Interior fit out Project Manager - Design Project Manager
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience and at least 5 years’ experience of working within an engineering company in UAE (preferably in Dubai)
• Background in hospitality and the commercial fit out sectors
• Project management experience. PMP certified will be preferred
• Understanding of the design process
• Resilient to coping with conflicting demands, able to prioritize duties and work under pressure
Responsibilities:
• Using the most up-to-date project management standards, the Design Management team provides support to the design teams. Play a key role throughout the design phases, from contract administration to change control, time and cost management, payments and risk management.
• Responsible for entire project management plan including scope, procurement, outsourcing sub-contractors, production, design, communication, cost, time, risk, project human resources, close out etc.
• Responsible to develop the project program in accordance with the project contract along with Design Manager/Design team.
• Overall responsibility for delivering the project within the contract timelines and budget.
• Responsible for project contract administration and assist with resolving contractual difficulties.
• Liaise with commercial department to ensure timely issuance of invoices in accordance with project contract.
• Identify any potential variations and provide the supporting documents to the commercial department.
• Manage the sub-contractor to ensure timely delivery of their scope.
• Conduct timely reviews of design progress and check scope compliance.
• Complete the project close-out procedures including collecting any retention payment.
• Represent company in all project meetings.
• Verifying the technical aspect of quotes received from vendors.
• Coordination between client, site, sub-contractors & suppliers. Negotiation of prices with subcontractors & suppliers and various project stakeholders.
• Checking of invoices from sub-contractors based on the work done at site.
• Plan and organize resources in advance for the assigned site by daily preparation of labor schedule.
• Quality control of work done at site.
• Enforce rules, regulations and procedures at site.
• Experience in approval process with Authorities.
