We are currently recruiting for an FF&E designer to join our award-winning interior design practice. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with excellent design, specification and delivery skills to join a dynamic, ambitious and growing Dubai based interior design team working on high-end projects throughout the UAE.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Assume an assistant role in design presentations in communicating with clients and ensure that format is compatible with office and client standards/requirements• Help develop and execute the FF&E direction for overall project and communicate to the project team• Communicate project status to senior FF&E designer on a regular basis and develop and maintain communication with all project team members, including the operations director• Attend site meetings and assist in the process of reviewing the project• Designing and sourcing FF&E from concept through to finished details• Liaising with contractors and suppliers in order to ensure FF&E is delivered on time and on budget• Liaising with design and purchasing teams to ensure FF&E is in line with client expectations and to budget• Working on project ‘fit-outs’ and overseeing the installation of FF&E alongside contractors - involving stays away from home• Participate in the establishment and maintenance of FF&E design standards for the company• Keep abreast of new trends that may influence FF&E design scheme• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned• Assisting with relevant social media and marketing tasks Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:• Design talent• Ability to establish logical action plans to complete work and provide technically sound solutions within deadline and budget constraints• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Photoshop, Auto CAD, InDesign and/or equal program for the production of drawings, mood boards and presentation material• Presentation skills• Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline orientated environment• Exceptional customer-focus with an emphasis on quality• Strong ability to resolve issues utilizing sound judgement and reasoning skills• Professional, ethical and committed to excellence in communications• Ability to collaborate and work effectively with other co-workers, departments, suppliers or business units• Assertive and motivated to generate results• Ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying and resolving problems utilizing sound judgement and reasoning skills• Exceptional time management skills• Ability to employ creative and innovative thought processes• Ability to be flexible and adaptable and be able to work on more than one project at once
