Position: Conlang Language Expert Type: Hourly contract Compensation: $40 - $95/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities Develop and refine constructed languages for AI training and linguistic projects. Provide expert feedback on language use, translation, and linguistic accuracy. Edit and proofread conlang materials to ensure consistency and clarity. Translate between constructed and natural languages as required. Collaborate with AI teams to train and evaluate language models. Document grammar rules, structures, and usage for training and reference. Contribute to creative problem-solving and linguistic development discussions.
Requirements Strong experience with one or more constructed languages. Solid foundation in linguistics and language structure. Strong experience in translating, editing, and writing in conlangs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment. Ability to explain complex linguistic concepts clearly.
