The Role We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead mechanical engineering operations, technical design, project execution, and team development. The ideal candidate will oversee engineering projects, equipment design, product development, maintenance strategies, and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with engineering standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement mechanical engineering strategies, technical standards, engineering roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with organizational objectives. Lead mechanical engineering projects from concept, design, analysis, and prototyping through manufacturing, installation, commissioning, testing, and lifecycle support. Collaborate with Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality Assurance, HSE, Procurement, Supply Chain, Project Management, and Executive Leadership to deliver integrated engineering solutions. Oversee the design, specification, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems, equipment, machinery, HVAC systems, piping systems, rotating equipment, pressure vessels, structural components, and industrial assets. Review engineering calculations, technical drawings, specifications, design documentation, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and engineering change requests to ensure technical accuracy and compliance. Manage engineering resources, project schedules, budgets, procurement support, contractor coordination, and technical risk assessments to ensure successful project delivery. Conduct engineering reviews, root cause analyses (RCA), failure investigations, reliability studies, value engineering, and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including project delivery, engineering quality, equipment reliability, productivity, cost performance, safety compliance, customer satisfaction, and innovation outcomes. Ensure compliance with international engineering standards, ASME, API, ISO, ASTM, local regulations, HSE requirements, quality management systems, and organizational policies. Manage relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, inspection authorities, and regulatory agencies to support engineering and project objectives. Drive digital transformation initiatives through Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Building Information Modeling (BIM), Digital Twin technologies, artificial intelligence (AI)-powered engineering analytics, predictive maintenance, and simulation tools. Utilize engineering software such as Auto CAD, Solid Works, Inventor, CATIA, Creo, ANSYS, Autodesk Revit, ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, project management software, and business intelligence platforms to monitor engineering performance and generate actionable insights. Prepare engineering reports, technical proposals, project dashboards, executive presentations, design reviews, feasibility studies, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership. Lead, mentor, and develop mechanical engineers, design engineers, project engineers, CAD specialists, maintenance engineers, and cross-functional teams while fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Master's degree or professional certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent are highly advantageous. Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, product design, manufacturing engineering, plant engineering, industrial engineering, or related roles. At least 2 years of experience managing engineering teams, technical projects, product development initiatives, or multidisciplinary engineering operations preferred. Strong understanding of mechanical design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, machine design, manufacturing processes, finite element analysis (FEA), reliability engineering, and project management. Experience with Auto CAD, Solid Works, Inventor, CATIA, Creo, ANSYS, Autodesk Revit, ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, PLM systems, and engineering simulation software. Familiarity with AI-powered engineering analytics, Digital Twin technologies, Industry 4.0, additive manufacturing, IoT-enabled equipment monitoring, predictive maintenance, and smart manufacturing solutions is advantageous. Strong leadership, technical, analytical, communication, stakeholder management, budgeting, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple engineering projects while balancing technical excellence, safety, regulatory compliance, quality, budgets, schedules, client expectations, and business objectives. Willingness to travel between offices, manufacturing facilities, project sites, customer locations, and supplier facilities as required.
