Position Title: Nanny / Childcare Provider

Location: Private Residence – Jumeirah Bay, Dubai, UAE

Reports To: Principal / House Manager / Authorized Representative

Department: Childcare & Household Support

Position Overview

The Nanny / Childcare Provider is responsible for providing attentive, nurturing, and professional

care for the child within the residence. The role focuses on ensuring the child’s physical safety,

emotional wellbeing, and developmental growth while maintaining a structured and supportive

environment aligned with the family’s values and lifestyle.

The Nanny must demonstrate patience, kindness, discretion, and professionalism while ensuring

that the child receives consistent care, attention, and supervision at all times. This position

requires the ability to adapt to the family’s routine, maintain a safe environment, and work

cooperatively with other household staff.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Childcare and Daily Care

  • Provide attentive care and supervision to the child at all times to ensure safety and wellbeing.

  • Assist with daily routines including feeding, sleeping schedules, bathing, dressing, and general

care.

  • Prepare feeding bottles and ensure proper hygiene and sterilization of feeding equipment.

  • Support the introduction of age-appropriate foods according to parental guidance.

  • Monitor the child’s comfort, mood, and behavior throughout the day.

  • Provide comfort and support during teething, illness, or other developmental stages.

  1. Health, Hygiene and Safety

  • Maintain the highest standards of hygiene when caring for the child and handling baby items.

  • Ensure the nursery, play areas, and baby equipment are clean, organized, and sanitized.

  • Maintain a safe environment by ensuring appropriate childproofing measures are followed.

  • Monitor the child’s health and immediately inform the parents or House Manager if any

unusual symptoms or concerns arise.

  • Administer medications or supplements only as instructed by the parents or medical

professionals.

  1. Developmental and Educational Activities

  • Engage the child in age-appropriate activities that encourage cognitive, physical, and emotional

development.

  • Support learning through reading, storytelling, singing, and interactive play.

  • Encourage sensory play and educational activities appropriate to the child’s developmental

stage.

  • Provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the child’s growth and curiosity.

  • Communicate any developmental milestones or progress to the parents.

  1. Nursery and Child-Related Organization

  • Maintain an organized nursery and ensure baby clothing, toys, and equipment are properly

arranged and stored.

  • Handle baby laundry including washing, ironing, folding, and organizing clothing and linens.

  • Ensure all baby items are clean, safe, and ready for daily use.

  • Monitor and maintain stock of baby essentials such as diapers, wipes, formula, creams, and

other necessary supplies.

  1. Travel Support

  • Accompany the family on domestic or international travel when required.

  • Ensure the child’s routine is maintained during travel as much as possible.

  • Prepare and organize all necessary baby supplies for travel including clothing, feeding items,

medical essentials, and comfort items.

  • Maintain the child’s safety and comfort during travel and in unfamiliar environments.

  1. Communication and Coordination

  • Provide regular updates to the parents regarding the child’s activities, mood, feeding, and sleep

routines.

  • Communicate important information to the household team when necessary for the child’s

wellbeing.

  • Maintain clear and respectful communication with parents and other household staff members.

  • Ensure smooth coordination with the House Manager and other staff when needed.

  1. Professional Conduct and Confidentiality

  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all matters related to the family, child, and household.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and a caring attitude at all times.

  • Respect the family’s cultural values, traditions, and household protocols.

  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance in accordance with household standards.

  • Report any safety concerns or issues affecting the child or household immediately to the

appropriate authority.

  1. Additional Duties

  • Assist with child-related household tasks when required.

  • Support the child’s daily routine and activities to ensure a comfortable and stable environment.

  • Perform other reasonable duties related to childcare as requested by the parents or authorized

household representative.
