Roles & Responsibilities
Assist the Rolling Stock & Depot Managers in preparing the maintenance budget, in managing and allocating resources to all aspect of technical support activities within the rolling stock section; ¤ Assist the Rolling Stock & Depot Managers in overseeing all aspects of technical support activities pertaining to rolling stock including software configuration management, technical support, preparation of maintenance procedures and instructions, safety and quality plans and procedures;
Assist the Rolling Stock & Depot Managers in coordinating the maintenance planning and scheduling;
Assist the Rolling Stock & Depot Managers to improve the existing system performance including appropriate modifications, new works planning and implementation;
Maintain and keep track of the section maintenance records by using the Maintenance Management System;
Perform and carry out duties as instructed/ directed by the Fleet Manager and Rolling Stock & Depots Manager.
Ensure compliance with the Keolis-MHI Management System and all relevant business processes, procedures and work instructions to deliver all work with appropriate quality and governance standards
Ensure security and integrity of all data provided including reporting performance, finance and customer information; reference Keolis-MHI non-disclosure policy
To exercise personal duty of care for their own health, safety and welfare and for those affected by their acts or omissions; reference SMS GSOP-HSE1-6 Keolis-MHI organisational HSE responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all training requirements of Keolis-MHI and ensure adherence to these requirements at all times whilst in employment
Report any accidents, incidents, breaches or potential breaches to appropriate management or the speak up process
Use safety equipment (including PPE) as required and intended and observe that this is also enforced among subcontractors and third parties working in Keolis-MHI’s controlled premises/systems
Promote a good HSQE and Information Security culture among their peers, subcontractors and third parties;
Lead by example and look at ways to conserve energy, water and resources and minimise the generation of waste through personal performance and raise recommendations on how to improve existing processes on this regard within/outside their departments through their Line Manager, Departmental Safety Meetings and any other appropriate available channels;
Promote a good HSQE and Information Security culture among their peers, subcontractors and third parties.
Desired Candidate Profile
A minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience in the design, testing or commissioning of rolling stock such as car body, bogies and suspension, couplers and draft gears, operators control, propulsion system, friction brakes, batteries, auxiliary power supply and electrical equipment, car doors and doors control, ventilation and air-conditioning components, train control and monitoring system (train management system) is preferable.
Ideally a degree holder or higher diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering discipline or equivalent;
