Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced WordPress & WooCommerce Theme Developer to build, customize, optimize, and maintain professional, fast, responsive, and conversion-focuseINd e-commerce websites.

The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience in WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, responsive design, technical SEO, and website performance optimization.

The candidate should be capable of converting Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or reference designs into high-quality, responsive WordPress and WooCommerce pages.

Experience with furniture, home décor, interior, retail, or other product-based e-commerce stores will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop custom WordPress and WooCommerce themes from scratch or customize existing themes.

• Convert Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or reference designs into accurate, responsive WordPress pages.

• Customize WooCommerce:

  • Shop pages

  • Category pages

  • Product pages

  • Cart pages

  • Checkout pages

  • Customer account pages

  • Wishlist pages

• Build responsive layouts using Bootstrap 5, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.

• Develop and customize variable products with options such as size, colour, material, finish, fabric, and dimensions.

• Create custom product features including colour swatches, fabric selectors, image galleries, quick view, wishlist, related products, and product recommendations.

• Develop AJAX-based product search, filtering, sorting, autocomplete, mini-cart, and side-cart functionality.

• Integrate payment gateways, shipping methods, WhatsApp, email notifications, and third-party APIs.

• Integrate and maintain Google Merchant Center product feeds and Meta product catalogues.

• Optimize websites for mobile devices, page speed, Core Web Vitals, and conversion performance.

• Implement SEO-friendly website structures including heading hierarchy, schema markup, breadcrumbs, metadata, canonical URLs, internal linking, and clean URLs.

• Ensure compatibility with major browsers and current WordPress and WooCommerce versions.

• Diagnose and fix theme, plugin, database, checkout, JavaScript, and performance issues.

• Identify and resolve plugin conflicts and compatibility problems.

• Maintain clean, secure, reusable, scalable, and well-documented code.

• Work closely with designers, SEO specialists, content teams, marketing teams, and management.

• Use staging environments and backups before implementing major website changes.

• Test all features thoroughly before deployment.

• Provide ongoing website maintenance, technical support, updates, and improvements.

Required Technical Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on WordPress and WooCommerce development experience.

  • Strong knowledge of custom WordPress theme development.

  • Strong experience with WooCommerce customization.

  • Excellent knowledge of PHP and MySQL.

  • Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap 5, JavaScript, and jQuery.
