Role Description The Program Director will oversee the planning, coordination, and monitoring of engineering consulting programs to ensure they meet client requirements, quality standards, and budget expectations. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining program objectives, developing timelines, allocating resources, and supervising project teams to maintain alignment with overall program goals. The Program Director will collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients, prepare progress reports, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep programs on track. This is a part-time, remote role that requires effective virtual communication, regular status updates, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently while maintaining strong client relationships.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in program or project management within engineering, construction, or related technical fields, including planning, scheduling, and resource coordination. Strong skills in stakeholder management, client communication, and cross-functional team leadership, with the ability to guide teams toward shared objectives. Proficiency in using digital tools for remote work, such as project management software, online collaboration platforms, and virtual meeting tools. Ability to analyze program performance, manage budgets, assess risks, and make data-informed decisions to improve efficiency and outcomes. Relevant academic background in engineering, architecture, project management, or a closely related discipline; professional certifications (e.g., PMP or equivalent) are an advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in en_US, with the ability to produce clear reports, presentations, and client documentation. Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting, exercise sound judgment, and manage part-time hours effectively while meeting deadlines. Familiarity with local regulations, industry standards, and best practices in engineering consulting in the region is considered beneficial.
