• Oversee and manage AML Investigations and Analysis programme, leading a team of on-shore Investigators and (indirectly) team of Analysts in CoEs, covering in-scope products in RBG, CIBG and where applicable, FI

  
  

• Take decisions on cases that warrant filing STRs to the Financial Intelligence Unit of the United Arab Emirates in the capacity of Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) / MLRO delegate

  
  

• Oversee and manage the operations of Regulatory Response Unit

  
  

• Maintain ongoing awareness / knowledge of all applicable internal / external AML & CTF requirements and existing/emerging legal / statutory environment, proactively identifying issues that could impact the risk profile / reputation of the Bank

  
  

• Provide AML advice and guidance in relation to AML Investigations to the Embedded Compliance functions, Business, Technology, Digital / Analytics and  Operations

  
  

• Promptly escalate emerging, critical issues to ensure risk reduction and reputation risk management of the Bank in relation to AML matters

  
  

• Support development of appropriate risk management frameworks for emerging businesses and partnerships including FinTechs, Payment Service Providers, Digital Asset / VASPs

  
  

• Develop and run the AML Intelligence Exchange capability

  
  

• Support strategy setting and spear-head delivery of critical technology and advanced analytics projects to improve risk coverage, reduce inefficiencies in processes and contribute to improving Customer Experience insofar as AML processes are concerned

  
  

• Support development of a sustainable and future-ready Product Roadmap for all systems and technology supporting Compliance AML

  
  

• Support continual optimization of TM models

  
  

• Develop projects to continually optimize and improve efficiency of AML risk management capabilities

  
  

• Develop and deliver ongoing efficiency improvement plans including cost and resource optimization without compromising capability / risk coverage

  
  

• Manage regulatory review, internal audits and assurance reviews effectively

  
  

• Promptly respond to regulatory and law enforcement queries
