Job Title: Senior Manager – Vehicle Operations Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Industry: Autonomous Delivery & Mobility Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Vehicle Operations to lead and scale a large frontline workforce supporting autonomous delivery operations across Abu Dhabi. The role is responsible for managing end-to-end workforce operations, including recruitment, training, certification, rostering, performance management, quality assurance, and operational productivity. The successful candidate will oversee a multi-layered team structure and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality 24/7 operations while supporting rapid organizational growth. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage large-scale vehicle operations teams, including remote monitoring operators, field support personnel, and shift supervisors. Own workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, certification, and retention strategies. Develop and manage relationships with manpower suppliers and recruitment partners to ensure continuous talent availability. Establish and maintain operational productivity, attendance, utilization, and performance metrics. Design, implement, and maintain training programs, certification standards, and quality assurance processes. Build and develop a strong supervisory and management structure capable of supporting large-scale operations. Oversee shift rostering, manpower allocation, workforce compliance, and operational coverage across multiple shifts. Ensure compliance with UAE labor regulations, visa requirements, accommodation management, transportation logistics, and workforce welfare standards. Monitor operational KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety, and service quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational scaling and process optimization. Lead performance management, coaching, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives. Ensure operational readiness and effective response to service disruptions, incidents, and changing business requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field. Valid UAE Driving License. Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience Requirements Minimum 10+ years of experience in operations management, workforce management, logistics, mobility services, command centers, contact centers, dispatch operations, or similar large-scale operational environments. Proven experience managing a frontline workforce of several hundred employees through multiple supervisory layers. Demonstrated success in scaling operations, mobilizing large teams, or launching new operational sites/projects. Experience in recruitment, onboarding, training, rostering, performance management, and employee retention. Strong background in real-time operational environments such as command centers, service centers, dispatch operations, control rooms, or autonomous vehicle operations. Experience designing and implementing training, certification, quality assurance, and performance management frameworks. Hands-on experience managing 24/7 multi-shift operations. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Safety Operators or autonomous mobility operations. Strong knowledge of UAE workforce regulations, MOHRE requirements, visa processing, accommodation management, and manpower supplier management. Experience in transportation, logistics, fleet operations, delivery services, or mobility technology sectors. Knowledge of workforce management systems, scheduling platforms, and operational analytics tools. Ability to communicate in Hindi, Urdu, or Arabic is an advantage.
