Role Description The Business Development Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the merchant acquiring and electronic payments space, including prospecting, qualifying leads, and managing the full sales cycle. The Business Development Manager will build and maintain strong relationships with merchants and partner institutions, conduct client meetings and presentations, and negotiate commercial terms in line with company objectives. Daily responsibilities include market research, pipeline management, performance reporting, and close collaboration with operations and product teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing support. The role also requires actively promoting DigiPos solutions, contributing to sales strategies, and representing the company at industry events and meetings.

Qualifications

  • Experience in business development, sales, or account management within payments, banking, fintech, or related industries.
  • Strong skills in client relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation to drive sustainable revenue growth.
  • Ability to conduct market research, analyze trends, and develop targeted sales strategies for merchant acquiring and payment solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
  • Proven capability to manage pipelines, meet sales targets, and prepare accurate forecasts and reports.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of electronic payment systems, PSP operations, and merchant onboarding processes is highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; relevant professional certifications in sales or payments are a plus.
