Job Purpose: To deliver Physical Education instruction in line with the MOE curriculum, promoting students' physical fitness, motor skills, teamwork and healthy lifestyle habits in a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver PE lessons in accordance with the MOE Physical Education curriculum and learning outcomes for assigned grade levels.
Organize and supervise fitness activities, games, and sports skills sessions appropriate to students' age and ability.
Ensure the safety of all students during PE lessons, including correct use of equipment and facilities, and appropriate risk assessment.
Identify and support students with additional needs or medical conditions affecting participation in PE, in coordination with the school nurse/inclusion team.
Organize and coach school sports teams, inter-school competitions, sports day and other extra-curricular sporting activities.
Assess and record student progress in physical fitness and motor skill development; report to parents as required.
Maintain PE equipment, facilities and sports inventory in good and safe condition.
Promote healthy lifestyle habits, nutrition awareness and physical wellbeing across the student body.
Collaborate with the PE department on curriculum planning and school sports events calendar.
Participate in CPD, staff meetings, and parent-teacher conferences.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science or a related field.
Minimum 2 years' teaching experience in PE, preferably within an MOE curriculum school.
Valid UAE Teacher's License or eligibility to obtain one; first aid/CPR certification an advantage.
