Position Overview

We are seeking an outstanding High School Mathematics Teacher to join our exceptional team from August 2027. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop a lifelong appreciation for Mathematics while contributing to the continued success of our vibrant learning community.

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold the GEMS Core Values of innovation, excellence, lifelong learning, and global citizenship in all aspects of teaching and student interactions.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards and best practices in inquiry-based learning.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including English Language Learners and students identified as gifted and talented.
• Foster a positive and respectful classroom culture that promotes collaboration, curiosity, and student well-being.
• Use technology and innovative approaches to enhance learning experiences.
• Assess student progress through varied, authentic methods and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan cohesive units and contribute to ongoing curriculum development.

Skills Description

Successful Candidate

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed) or a subject-related degree with a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE/state teaching license or equivalent) in Mathematics.
• Have proven experience teaching High School Mathematics, ideally within an American or IB curriculum context (preferred but not essential).
• Demonstrate ability to inspire, motivate, and support students through engaging, purposeful learning.
• Build strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative and reflective approach.
• Be committed to ongoing professional development and contributing to the school’s positive, inclusive culture.
