Security guards play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of people and property within a variety of settings. Here are the key responsibilities typically associated with this role:

Surveillance: Security guards monitor premises, including buildings, grounds, and public areas, to prevent theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities. They use surveillance cameras, patrolling techniques, and observation to identify and deter security threats.

Access Control: Security guards control access to restricted areas by checking credentials, verifying identification, and issuing visitor passes. They ensure that only authorized individuals enter secured areas and enforce security protocols to prevent unauthorized entry.
Emergency Response: In the event of emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches, security guards take immediate action to mitigate risks and protect people and property. This may involve evacuating buildings, providing first aid, or contacting emergency services.

Patrolling: Security guards conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to detect and deter security breaches. They inspect doors, windows, and other entry points for signs of tampering or unauthorized access and report any suspicious activities or safety hazards.

Alarm Response: Security guards respond to alarms triggered by intrusion detection systems, fire alarms, or other security devices. They investigate the cause of alarms, assess the situation, and take appropriate action to address any security threats.
