Job Title: Audio Video Support Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop AV designs that meet the client's functional and budgetary requirements.
  • Generate functional and connection-level drawings for audio, video, control, and communications systems.
  • Create Engineering Design Packages (to include A/V control, video, audio, and networking schematics).
  • Coordinate the requirements, integration, and installation of A/V control system programs.
  • Support the on-site installation efforts of the team. Troubleshoot and debug AV systems.
  • Experience in configuring, setting up portable AV Systems/ projectors/ White Boards and ensure functioning of all associated features.
  • Experience in configuring and setting up Audio, Video and Lighting.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting technical issues, instantly pinpointing faults and remedy during an event under Audio, Video and Lighting.
  • Responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of AV hardware and Solution & Rectify any issues
  • Maintain detailed configuration of AV equipment.
  • Work closely with other staff in information technology department to provide quality AV support to users
  • Responsible to maintain inventory of all AV equipment that include Conference / meeting room and Auditorium AV devices.
  • Ensure that the AV services meet the performance SLA targets of the IT department
  • Assist in managing outsource supplier contracts and negotiations for provision of IT Services
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of AV assets from acquisition to disposal of hardware in coordination with corporate procurement
  • Other duties as required or assigned by management.
  • Provide weekly status reports to IT operations or Unit Head


Skills

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor in Electronics engineering or equivalent required
  • 6+ years of experience in an AV Support position
  • Minimum of five years of Crestron, Extron and AMX control system experience.
  • Experience conducting site surveys, designing and installing audio visual solutions.
  • Experience with control systems, video-conferencing, switching hardware, audio DSP setup and calibration.
  • Experience using CAD programs and Microsoft Visio.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as: TCP /IP, addressing, firewalls, routers, VLANs, and VPN.
  • Strong knowledge of Biamp audio systems and DSP's is also preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge in the areas of mounting, wiring and maintenance of audio, video and lighting systems such as: consoles, amplifiers, AV mixers, loud speakers, digital signage, Kiosks, projectors, electronic display screens, flat panel displays, dimmers, lighting fixtures and related accessories.
  • Installation of audio, acoustic, video, and lighting systems.
  • Communication, customer relation skills, and the ability to work with a team.
  • Thorough understanding of ITIL and Knowledge of IT Service Desk procedures.
