We are seeking an experienced Irrigation Engineer to join our team in Ajman, UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in irrigation engineering and design, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for sustainable water management. The Irrigation Engineer will be responsible for overseeing irrigation projects, conducting site surveys, designing irrigation systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys to assess irrigation needs and identify potential challenges
- Design efficient and sustainable irrigation systems, taking into account factors such as soil type, climate, and plant water requirements
- Create detailed irrigation plans, including pipe layout, valve placement, and sprinkler head specifications
- Collaborate with landscape architects and other professionals to integrate irrigation systems into overall landscape designs
- Prepare cost estimates and project proposals for irrigation projects
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems
- Monitor and adjust irrigation schedules to optimize water usage and plant health
- Keep up to date with industry trends and advancements in irrigation technology
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards
Preferred Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Proven experience as an Irrigation Engineer or similar role
- Knowledge of irrigation system design principles and practices
- Proficient in using irrigation design software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Valid driver's license
Skills
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or other drafting software
- Understanding of hydraulic principles and irrigation hydraulics
