Equity Trader (Open to relocate to Dubai only)

An Equity Trader is responsible for executing buy and sell orders for stocks and other securities on behalf of clients or the financial institution they work for. The role involves making informed trading decisions, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Equity Traders must stay informed about market conditions, economic news, and company-specific information to maximize trading profits and meet client or firm objectives.

Key Responsibilities

·      Execute equity trades on various exchanges and trading platforms.

·      Implement trading strategies to maximize profits and minimize risks.

·      Monitor and manage open positions and ensure timely settlement of trades.

·      Conduct technical and fundamental analysis to identify trading opportunities.

·      Monitor market trends, news, and economic indicators that may impact equity markets.

·      Use financial models and algorithms to support trading decisions.

·      Develop and implement risk management strategies to protect the trading portfolio.

·      Set and adjust stop-loss orders and position sizes to manage exposure.

·      Continuously monitor risk metrics and adhere to the firm's risk policies.

·      Maintain and develop relationships with clients, providing market insights and trading recommendations.

·      Execute client orders with accuracy and in a timely manner.

·      Communicate trading strategies and performance to clients.

·      Ensure all trading activities comply with regulatory requirements and firm policies.

·      Maintain accurate records of trades and transactions.

·      Prepare and submit regular reports on trading performance and market conditions.

·      Work closely with other traders, analysts, and portfolio managers to share information and strategies.

·      Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategy development.

·      Mentor junior traders and provide guidance on trading techniques and market analysis.

Skills

Qualifications

·      Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, MBA) are a plus.

·      Proven experience as an equity trader, with a track record of profitable trading.

·      Experience with various trading platforms and software.

·      Strong understanding of financial markets, trading strategies, and risk management principles.

·      Skills:

·      Ability to analyze market data, financial statements, and economic indicators.

·      Proficiency in trading software, financial modeling, and data analysis tools.

·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
