We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant RUSSIAN SPEAKER with over 10 years of experience, specifically in the construction industry, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing financial operations, P&L statements, and project-specific finances. Experience working in Dubai is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

•⁠ ⁠Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.

•⁠ ⁠Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.

•⁠ ⁠Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.

•⁠ ⁠Oversee project-specific finances, ensuring accurate tracking of expenses and revenues for each project.

•⁠ ⁠Prepare P&L statements and ensure proper financial management of each project.

•⁠ ⁠Support month-end and year-end close processes.

•⁠ ⁠Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

•⁠ ⁠Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

•⁠ ⁠Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

•⁠ ⁠Provide technical support and advice on management accounting.

•⁠ ⁠Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.

•⁠ ⁠Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers.

•⁠ ⁠Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process.

•⁠ ⁠Provide input into the department’s goal-setting process.

•⁠ ⁠Assist with tax audits and tax returns.

•⁠ ⁠Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.

•⁠ ⁠Plan, assign, and review staff’s work.

•⁠ ⁠Support and train staff on accounting principles and company policies.

Skills

Requirements:

•⁠ ⁠Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

•⁠ ⁠CPA or CMA certification preferred.

•⁠ ⁠Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with a strong background in the construction industry.

•⁠ ⁠Proven experience in financial management of construction projects.

•⁠ ⁠Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

•⁠ ⁠Experience with creating financial statements.

•⁠ ⁠Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

•⁠ ⁠Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.

•⁠ ⁠Experience working in Dubai and understanding local financial regulations.

•⁠ ⁠Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.

•⁠ ⁠Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
