Operations Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Manage staff schedules, shifts, and duties to optimize productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness.

Customer Service:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and address any customer inquiries or complaints promptly.
  • Foster a welcoming and friendly environment for all customers.
  • Implement customer service policies and train staff accordingly.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise café staff.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching.
  • Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.

Inventory and Supply Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts and pricing.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all products.

Financial Management:

  • Monitor and manage the café's budget, expenses, and revenue.
  • Prepare financial reports and analyze performance metrics.
  • Implement cost-saving measures and maximize profitability.

Menu Development:

  • Collaborate with chefs and baristas to develop and update the café menu.
  • Ensure that all menu items are prepared to the highest quality standards.
  • Introduce new products and promotions to attract and retain customers.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase foot traffic and sales.
  • Manage the café's social media presence and online reputation.
  • Plan and execute promotional events and activities.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure that all food and beverages meet quality and presentation standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain consistency.
  • Address any issues or discrepancies promptly.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and staff schedules.
  • Handle payroll, billing, and other administrative tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.


Skills

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Café Manager or in a similar role in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Financial acumen and experience in budget management.
