This role is working for a Family Group reporting to the chairman and overseeing their project portfolio across africa from Dubai. You would manage the Infrastructure team, projects execution, project planning, testing & commissioning and Maintenance of building construction (especially institutional buildings) and infrastructure projects for Institutional /Commercial/Hospital buildings and mining infrastructure projects.
Responsibilites:
1- Responsible for managing delivery of project to customer as per contractual
timelines.
2- Responsible for Communication with client senior management and periodic
review on all aspects of projects.
3- Responsible for all approvals and Liaison with the various Government departments and Government representatives for design, quality, billing, completion certificate and other project related issues.
4- Examining plans, designs & materials for conformity with specifications Liaising with project management team to implement agreed project plans and company objectives.
5- Manage the estimation of material quantities & deviation statements of quantities according to the site condition,coordinating project progress through regular project meetings.
6- Managing suppliers, sub-contractors, consultants, or commissioning engineers concerning the design, installation or construction and commissioning of assigned work.
7- Managing consultant deliverables as per client’s schedule & project scope.
8- Produce project report on agreed intervals & whenever substantive action is
required for scope and contractual requirements.
9- Project planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling projects
10- Principle & Vendor Management.
11- Vendor Evaluation & its work quality control.
12- Vendor negotiation & finalize the vendor by issuing purchase order.
13- Billing against material delivered at site as per PO.
14- Manage the customer requirement with respective vendors and meet the timeline.
15- Technical design review with technical team/design consultant.
16- Design & implement necessary tools/tracker for effective tracking of project transactions.
17- Daily Activity Planning & work allocation.
18- Risk & issue management.
19- Process adherence & compliance.
20- Project communication & project documentation
21- Coordination with technical team and external consultants to ensure proper
solutions.
22- Project closure as per agreed timelines & SOW.
Someone who understands the nuances of working on Government/Public sector projects and is well equipped in stakeholder
management.
? Graduate degree (B-Tech/BE) in Civil Engineering is a must.
? Post Graduate qualification in the related domain shall be preferred.
? A substantial part of the overall Experience should be in working on Government projects in sectors like education,healthcare, mining etc., preferably in Africa.
? Candidate should have 20+ years of overall experience with reputed organisations.
? Should be well versed with 3D Civil & architectural/Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing systems generally adopted in the Commercial, Residential, Institutional, Mixed-use complexes, etc.
? Exposure to multi-disciplinary BIM coordination environment is preferred.
