Role Purpose:
The role will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day support to the Group Senior Sustainability Manager in the delivery of Majid Al Futtaim Group’s sustainability and ESG strategy.
This will include engagement with internal stakeholders across Majid Al Futtaim - Holding and its subsidiaries in order to create and implement an impactful sustainability strategy. This will include supporting with management of sustainability reporting within the Group.
Role Details:
- Supporting the Group Senior Sustainability Manager with the implementation of the Majid Al Futtaim Group’s sustainability strategy and associated policies through the network of sustainability leads and champions in each Operating Company.
- Supporting the Group Senior Sustainability Manager with the delivery of internal and external reports such as the Majid Al Futtaim Annual Sustainability/ESG Report and other relevant communication and reporting pieces.
- Assisting the Corporate Sustainability Team with collecting, analysing, summarising and presenting findings relevant to the Group’s Sustainability Strategy.
- Creating reports and presentations for the benchmark of international best practice in accordance with evolving trends.
- Submitting Majid Al Futtaim’s Sustainability achievements to internationally recognised awards.
- Creating guidelines and other necessary documents to ensure ESG engagements are documented.
- Assist in implementing ESG reporting frameworks and standards, such as GRI, GRESB, SASB, etc.
- Support data collection and validation processes.
- Conduct basic analysis of ESG data to identify trends.
- Stay informed about basic ESG trends and regulations.
- Support stakeholder engagement activities.
- Assist in sustainability initiatives and projects and tracking them as needed.
Requirements:
- 3 or more years of experience, in a sustainability related role in a corporate organisation or consultancy
- Knowledge of the real estate industry and the built environment, wellness, social impact, communications and reporting frameworks such as GRI, GRESB, SASB, etc.
- A degree in a sustainability or real estate related discipline e.g. environmental sciences, architecture, engineering etc
- Certified sustainability related professional e.g. LEED AP or WELL certified, GRI, SASB, other reporting standards
