Job Summary:

The Senior Electrical Engineer will design and oversee the installation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards. They will prepare detailed electrical drawings and conduct comprehensive calculations for load, voltage drop, and cable sizing using software tools like AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and effective communication with stakeholders. The ideal candidate shall have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, 10 years of experience, and familiarity with UAE authority requirements such as DEWA and ADDC.

Key Responsibilities:

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the below:

• Designing all electrical systems to ensure compliance with standards and local regulations, such as DEWA, ADDC, and UAE FIRE CODE.
• Lead the design and development of electrical systems for various projects, including commercial, industrial, and residential.
• Creating detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts for various electrical systems including lighting design, power distribution, cable routing, fire alarm, earthing, and lightning protection. Preparing comprehensive electrical design documents using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Conducting detailed electrical calculations such as load analysis, short-circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations, and cable sizing using appropriate software tools and engineering principles.
• Collaborating closely with architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems into project designs, and providing technical guidance to external stakeholders throughout the design and coordination process
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members
• Oversee electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.

Skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer, preferably with a focus on UAE projects, and at least 10 years in the field.
• In-depth knowledge of local regulations and authority requirements (DEWA, ADDC, UAE FIRE CODE).
• Strong technical capabilities in REVIT, AutoCAD (ACAD), and Navisworks for designing and drafting electrical systems. Proficient in electrical load calculations, power distribution, voltage drop analysis, and cable sizing. Familiarity with electrical engineering software tools such as Dialux, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
