We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our law firm in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal proceedings, research, and document management, with a keen understanding of UAE laws and regulations. The Paralegal will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys and ensuring the smooth operation of our legal services.
Key Responsibilities:
Representation in Legal Proceedings:
• Assist attorneys in preparing for and representing clients in various legal proceedings, including court hearings and trials.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as needed.
• Ensure all necessary documentation and evidence are organized and presented effectively.
Legal Research:
• Conduct thorough legal research on UAE laws, regulations, and relevant precedents to support case preparation.
• Analyze and summarize legal information, statutes, and case law for attorney review.
• Stay updated on changes in UAE legislation and legal practices.
Case Management:
• Handle case registration and follow cases through all stages of the court process, from initiation to judgment issuance.
• Maintain detailed case files and records, ensuring that all information is accurate and up to date.
• Liaise with court officials, clients, and other parties to manage case-related communications.
Public Prosecution and RDC Systems:
• Work within the Public Prosecution system and the Rental Dispute Center (RDC) systems, ensuring compliance with legal procedures and requirements.
• Prepare and submit necessary documents, forms, and applications related to cases handled by these systems.
File Organization and Management:
• Organize and maintain the firm’s physical and digital files, ensuring that all legal documents are accessible and stored securely.
• Implement and manage a filing system that guarantees the confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Regularly audit and update files to maintain order and compliance with legal standards.
Document Drafting and Review:
• Draft, review, and revise various legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, motions, agreements, and correspondence.
• Ensure that all documents are accurate, well-structured, and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Assist attorneys in preparing documentation for client meetings, court submissions, and other legal processes.
Client Interaction:
• Serve as a point of contact for clients, responding to inquiries and providing updates on case progress.
• Assist in gathering and organizing client information and documents required for case preparation.
Administrative Support:
• Provide general administrative support to attorneys, including managing schedules, organizing meetings, and preparing reports.
• Coordinate with external parties, such as court officials, experts, and other legal professionals, as required.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of UAE legal systems, including court procedures, public prosecution, and RDC systems.
• Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English (Arabic is a plus).
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
