Overview of the role:
To manage the bodyshop section productive in the efficient repair of accident damaged vehicles through all stages of the repair, to ensure that section repair times are adhered with stringent quality controls at each repair stage. Manage the utilisation of bodyshop consumables, paint and equipment. Produce daily productivity and utilisation reports, ensure that housekeeping is maintained to the Toyota 5S principles
What you will do:
- Ensure that all work areas comply to 5s (sifting, sorting, sweeping, spick and span and safety) at all times to ensure a clean and tidy environment for all staff and customers.
- Execute assigned jobs according to established work standards, specifications and required time
- Ensure that each and every job is carried out as per instructions on service order, estimate and per company policy & procedure.
- Ensure all vehicles are repaired right first time and achieve a FIR(Fix it Right First Time) ratio of 95%
- Ensure total productivity is at least 130%
- To achieve and sustain minimum average CSV score of 4.2
- Maintain the discipline of the service establishment, safe and clean reception area through strict adherence of company rules, regulations and procedures
- Ensure safe, efficient and proper use of tools, equipment and paint & materials in order to reduce direct costs.
- Keep up with new technology, work procedures, time standards and relevant technical know-how to maintain or improve work productivity and quality.
- Perform other tasks assigned by immediate superior or manager, if necessary
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Perform all duties and responsibilities mentioned in the related business SOPs
- Comply with the ALAC Quality Management System and participate with organization’s improvement activities
- Carry out work with care ensuring not to endanger the life either of themselves or others by theirs acts or omissions whilst complying with health and safety requirements of the company and preventing any harm to the environment.

Required skills to be successful:
- Must have excellent working knowledge with Body Repair Equipment
- Must have good knowledge of Paint mix Electronic Catalogues & Mixer Reading,
- Possess leadership skills
- Excellent communicator with team building skills
About the team:
The role reports to the Workshop Manager and will be working in a busy workshop environment.
What equips you for the role:
- ITI/Diploma in automobile or related field
- 5 - 7 years’ experience as qualified tradesman in relevant field.
- Computer literate and strong communication skills.
