Procurement Officer

The Procurement Officer will be responsible to help and assist Line Mangers with the purchase process, and to follow/maintain, and control all the documents from and to Purchase Department.


Responsibilities and Duties


Strategic Sourcing

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings and meet business needs.
  • Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify potential suppliers and new procurement opportunities.
  • Coordinate with other team members to ensure alignment with procurement goals.

Supplier Management

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve optimal agreements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.

Procurement Planning:

  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand their needs and forecast future procurement requirements.
  • Develop and manage procurement plans to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services.

Contract Management:

  • Prepare and review purchase agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Monitor contract performance and manage renewals or amendments as necessary.

Cost Management:

  • Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and track their effectiveness.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis, supplier performance, and market conditions.
  • Use data to make informed decisions and recommendations for improvements.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assess and manage risks associated with procurement activities.

Deliveries:

  • Coordinate with concerned departments for goods/services delivery

Reporting:

  • Produce and maintain all purchasing reports and prepare relevant presentation for the management as directed by LM.


Follow the workplace safety and health instructions and procedures


Report any injury, illness, unsafe acts or conditions immediately


Qualifications & Training


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Valid UAE driving license


Experience


5+ years of experience in the UAE in the same area


Knowledge


  • Negotiation techniques
  • Market and Vendor Research
  • Contract Management
  • Data analysis and reporting.
