Emirati Talent - Senior Legal Counsel | Holding | Legal

ROLE SUMMARY
The Senior Counsel is a legal manager on a collaborative, collegial, and innovative legal team, responsible for offering solutions-oriented legal services to Majid Al-Futtaim business partners and the broader stakeholders we serve.

ROLE PROFILE

• Conduct thorough research and analysis of complex legal and compliance issues.
• Monitor new legal issues that may arise or changes to regulatory requirements.
• Advise and counsel middle-level and senior-level business leaders on a wide range of legal and compliance issues encountered in daily business operations.
• Respond to client inquiries, either by addressing the matter directly or assigning it to a more suitable team member.
• Draft and review documents, memos, correspondence, and contracts.
• Assist business leaders in interpreting and understanding legal and compliance matters, complex language, or deals.
• Develop and deliver legal and compliance training and initiatives to help business personnel understand legal requirements.
• Support the preparation and timely submission of mandated legal and regulatory filings.

REQUIREMENTS

• Law degree and admission to practice in relevant jurisdictions.
• A minimum of 5 years of substantive legal expertise, developed in a corporate or law firm setting, serving sophisticated clients across a range of services.
• Proficiency in working on or ability to learn technology systems used by the company and particularly the legal team.
• Ability to work within timelines set, and collaborate with and report to senior lawyers and business leaders in charge of projects
