Job Overview:

As a Draftsman, you will play a crucial role in our design and manufacturing process by

creating detailed technical drawings and plans for furniture production. You will work

closely with our design and production teams to translate design concepts into precise

technical drawings that guide our manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed and accurate technical drawings, blueprints, and plans for furniture pieces based on design specifications.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop innovative and functional furniture designs.
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify drawings.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines.
• Update and maintain drawing files, documentation, and databases.
• Review and interpret client requirements and incorporate them into design drawings.
• Communicate effectively with the production team to ensure accurate and timely manufacturing of furniture pieces.
• Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues with drawings and design plans.
• Participate in design meetings and provide technical input and suggestions.
• Assist in developing and maintaining design documentation, including design revisions and updates.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Draftsman, preferably in the furniture design or manufacturing industry.
• Must be highly proficient in AutoCAD or equivalent software.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Sketchup, Rhino or similar.
• Strong knowledge of drafting standards and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of furniture or joinery design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Degree or diploma in Drafting, Design, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
