Our client is hiring for a Institutional Designer, who will work closely with academic leaders, faculty, and administration to develop and implement effective educational strategies, course design, and institutional projects that enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the university. The designer will employ instructional design principles and utilize digital tools to create engaging, innovative, and accessible educational experiences aligned with the university's mission and strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with faculty to design and develop high-quality, innovative curricula, course materials, and learning experiences for both in-person and online programs.
- Provide expertise in instructional design, educational technology, and adult learning theories to support faculty in delivering effective teaching methods.
- Assess existing educational programs and recommend design enhancements to improve learning outcomes and align with accreditation standards.
- Integrate best practices in digital learning technologies (e.g., Learning Management Systems, e-learning platforms) and instructional methodologies into course development.
- Develop assessment tools and methodologies to evaluate the effectiveness of courses and programs.
- Ensure that all course designs are compliant with university standards, accreditation requirements, and accessibility guidelines.
- Research and stay up-to-date on the latest trends in instructional design, learning technologies, and higher education strategies.
Requirements- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or related roles, preferably within higher education institutions.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and other educational technologies.
- Strong understanding of instructional design models, learning theories, and digital education tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
