Job Summary:
A leading FMCG Group in UAE and is looking for a Commercial Director based in Dubai to oversee business units, commercial teams and sales & distribution strategies in UAE and across GCC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing commercial strategies (sales & marketing) based on company goals and objectives and oversee business development efforts on behalf of Company and its Brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction in all commercial functions of the company
- Formulate and execute company's strategic plan for sales, marketing and commercial operations
- Develop and implement commercial and operation strategies, monitor commercial performance and provide strategic guidance for the business units
- Set and achieve key performance targets for sales, marketing, procurement & supply chain, cost, expenses and other measurements of commercial operations performance
- Oversee all sales & distribution related activities covering setting and strictly monitoring of sales targets and ensures accurate delivery of products in all sales channels and markets
- Support and lead company’s sales, growth and continuous cost, efficiency and quality improvements in the business
- Manage and strengthen the relationship with suppliers and distributors across the region
- Oversee and strengthen the financial growth and stability of the Company and Operations
- Understand the risk associated with business including commercial team and able to devise and implement plans to mitigate the risk for smooth process
- Timely update and present competitors’ activities and provides market feed-back on new products, prices changes, new launches, etc. to the Top Management
- Communicate operational/sales results, activities, etc. to the Executive Management and provide recommendations and plans for ongoing improvement
Skills
Qualification, Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor / Master’s Degree from a recognized University, specialized in Management / Business Administration / International Business
- At least 10-15 years of relevant experience, in which 5 years’ experience in senior management role
- Strong knowledge of FMCG / Pharmaceutical Industry and experience in all the associated areas including general management, operations, finance and people management, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and get results
- Strong problem solving and analytical abilities at strategic and functional level
- Must be familiar with current trends, practices and metrics in Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Management
