Assistant Manager – Corporate Procurement

About this job:

  • The Assistant Manager (AM) will manage the corporate requirements of the businesses which incudes vendor management, prequalification, SAP ariba onboarding management, uniform, accommodation, office leasing and events.
  • The role is office based in Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi and will directly report to the Executive Director. This role requires someone dedicated to the task with solid attention to detail and superb organisational skills. Must be able to work without supervision and must be a self-motivator.
  • Fully accustomed to the company procurement guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to add value to procedures and offer guidance to a wider team.
  • Sourcing suitable vendors and subsequent onboarding within SAP Ariba.
  • Complete understanding of the onboarding and subsequent payment process within SAP Ariba.
  • Preparation of bid evaluation documents in a professional manner – easy-to-read and understandable.
  • Vendor negotiation.
  • Ability to demonstrate best value and track savings logically and demonstratively.
  • Superb organisational skills are required – the company has over 1,000 vendors and some 2,000 purchase orders are raised monthly.
  • Conversion of purchase requisitions (PR) within SAP to purchase orders (PO).
  • Provide advice, information and guidance on procurement-related matters to staff across the group.
  • Identify, mitigate and escalate procurement risks.
  • Oversee complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
  • Manage the user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned.
  • Preparation of annual maintenance contracts and ad-hoc project contracts using a template format and subsequent initial negotiation with vendor on any changes to standard T&Cs.


Qualifications:

Graduate in any discipline – procurement/supply chain related would be beneficial.

EXPERIENCE:

5+ years of post-graduate experience in procurement

KNOWLEDGE:

  1. Excellent communication in English (essential)
  2. SAP MM and SAP Ariba – must have experienceStaff Accommodation, uniforms, insurances, cateringContract preparation and key clauses (beneficial)
