DESCRIPTION
Head of XCM (Cross-Category Cross-Channel Marketing) Middle East and North Africa (MENA includes UAE, Saudi Arabic and Egypt), is responsible for developing and executing marketing plans to build brand Amazon in the region. The role is responsible for developing long term plans, conceptualizing and executing brand campaigns and managing marketing investments. We are seeking a leader who has ability to build brand creativity in the new age media and content world and have experience building technology consumer brand. The role requires strong functional understanding of brand building, media planning, communication development, insight mining and a leader who is customer obsessed, analytical and has a passion for driving innovative campaigns. Someone who has ability to bring data, insights and creativity together to deliver relevant campaigns.
This position is one of the key senior leaders of MENA Marketing organization, and manages teams of Communication Managers, Media and Investment Manager and Consumer Research.
The impact of this role is significant and broad, accounting for a large percentage of Amazon MENA customer funnel and business.
This role needs (must-have) someone with Arabic Language and functional experience of brand building in the region.

• Develop creatively bar raising cross-channel integrated campaigns (Online Video, Social, Influencers, Radio, OOH etc.) to elevate brand Amazon and its perceptions.
• Build network of strong creative agency and production partners to deliver insightful, localized and creatively bar raising campaigns.
• Effective and Efficient drive marketing investment strategy in partnership with Media agency.
• Hire and Scale external creative, research, and production agency partners.
• Hire and Develop a strong functional and leadership team.
• Build strong partnership with local and international leadership.
• Develop and execute research roadmap to guide marketing and business decision.
About the team
The role is part of the MENA+TR Marketing and Prime Organization reporting into the Director of Marketing & Prime. The role is peer to other senior marketing leaders of Automated Marketing, Prime Program, Lifecycle Marketing, Country Marketing etc. This role dotted line works closely with Emerging Countries and World Wide Marketing Team and locally with business team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 12+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience directly managing teams
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Experience guiding creative input, development and execution from concept to completion
- Experience defining marketing strategy and executional excellence
- Experience working with executive leadership in large organizations
- An experienced marketing expert with proven experience of having built a brand in a new-age media and content landscape.
- Senior level marketing experience in Consumer Technology and/or FMCG world.
- Arabic speaker with marketing experience across the region specifically of UAE, Saudi Arabic and Egypt.
- Expertise with deep experience of digital platforms and curiosity for emerging trends in marketing and technology.
- Left and right-brain thinker with a love of numbers and of creativity.
- Experience of effectively and efficiently managing marketing investment.
- Strong experience and network to deliver through creative, digital and media agencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English and Arabic.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Marketing Experience across both FMCG and Consumer Technology.
- Post-graduate education / Masters level qualification (MBA from top tier school is a plus)
