Job Overview:
As a Mechanical Technician, Warranty Buddy & Quality Inspector at Cars24, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles. Your role will involve working closely with the Service Center team to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition for resale. You'll play a key part in ensuring our customers receive top-quality cars with complete reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to diagnose mechanical issues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs.
- Repair and replace faulty components, such as brakes, engines, transmission systems, and other mechanical parts.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Ensure that all vehicles meet company and industry safety standards.
- Test vehicles after repairs to verify that mechanical issues are resolved.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time taken.
- Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure efficiency and timely completion of work.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
- Adhere to Cars24 quality standards and ensure vehicles are in perfect working condition before resale.
- Provide feedback to improve overall operations and customer experience.
Skills
- Proven experience as an automotive or mechanical technician.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle repair processes, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with modern diagnostic tools and technology.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex issues.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Relevant certifications in automotive mechanics are a plus.
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a dealership or service center.
- Experience with a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certification or equivalent qualifications.
