Overview of the role:
Acceleration of automotive division’s strategy of being a data driven organisation and feeding advanced analytics models to CRM, Brand, marketing and Digital teams.
What you will do:
- Work independently on all phases of an analytics project, including formulation, research, development, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
- Designing new means of communication of descriptive and predictive modelling results through data visualizations, dashboards, apps.
- Hands-on programming skills and ability to utilize a variety of data, analytics software, coding languages, and statistical tools. Deep experience with at least one of Python, PySpark, Scala or R, and SQL (mandatory).
- Expected to develop, use and deploy statistical models such as: Generalized linear models, time series models, forecasting techniques, cluster analysis, anomaly detection, descriptive statistical techniques, statistical diagnostic techniques (e.g., significance testing, model fit, etc.)
- Create supervised and unsupervised models, including decision trees, KNN models, and neural nets; and standard ML libraries.
Skills
Required Skills to be successful:
- Python Programming.
- Experience in using Databricks platform.
- Experience in building Supervised and unsupervised Machine Learning Models.
- 6-8 Years of experience Or 5-6 + Masters Degree.

What equips you for the role:
- BS in Statistics, Computer Science or other related field
- 6-8 years of experience working in the Data Science or Machine Learning Engineering space with hands-on experience in building and deploying advanced analytics models on cloud platforms. Proven skills in various programming and database languages, such as Python, PySpark, SQL. Familiarity with consumer related data and a general interest in the retail, consumer products manufacturing, automotive, transportation, or hospitality sectors
- Experience working on data science projects in a business or academic setting
- Demonstrated capability building accurate predictive and other statistical models
- Strong knowledge of statistics
- Advanced Python programming
- Demonstrated business and strategy acumen
