Environment, Health and safety Section Head

Bachelor degree majoring in HSE with 7 experience Required.

Lead, develop and monitor the implementation of Environmental, Health and safety procedures and policies of the General Administration of Customs in order to ensure health safety and risk control in order to avoid any injuries and maintain the health and safety of employees and Environmental Protection.

• Supervising the follow-up of the latest changes and amendments in health, safety and environment laws and planning the development of new procedures and policies to ensure their compliance with local and international laws and legislations.
• Review safety performance reports and safety plans. Review accident reports and update safety targets
• To lead the design and implementation of Occupational Safety and health policies and procedures, within the standards approved by the Abu Dhabi Occupational Health and Safety Center (OSHAD) to reduce risks and ensure the preservation of the health and safety of employees, the health of equipment and processes and Environmental Protection at all times.
• To ensure that employees are provided with equipment and means of protection, safety and Industrial Security according to work requirements, and to ensure their maintenance and operation in good condition.
• Ensure that risk studies and assessments are carried out in order to develop preventive plans and measures to avoid these risks.
• Supervising the planning of Environmental, Health and safety procedures at customs centers, making sure that they are explained to employees and making them aware of them, and ensuring the protection of visitors to the Centers and their employees.
• Ensure that systems are in place to promptly report any incidents or unsafe situations for analysis and investigation of the causes and ensure that reports are prepared highlighting recommendations, necessary measures and areas for improvement to mitigate the identified risks and update the risk register, adjusting policies and procedures accordingly.
• To ensure coordination with OSHAD in the performance of visits and inspections in the buildings and centers of the General Administration of Customs to ensure compliance with the Environmental, Health and safety standards stipulated locally and internationally.
