Maintenance Engineer - Oil and Gas
Location: UAE
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems for oil and gas production facilities.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all machinery, equipment, and assets in the plant.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment including pumps, compressors, valves, and engines.
- Monitor equipment performance, identifying potential failures and recommending improvements or repairs.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Prepare and update maintenance procedures and manuals for machinery and equipment.
- Collaborate with operations and technical teams to minimize downtime and improve plant reliability.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities.
- Manage spare parts inventory and procurement to ensure all required materials are available for maintenance tasks.
- Document and report all maintenance activities, failures, and improvements to management.
Skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical equipment, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Good understanding of safety, environmental, and quality standards in the oil and gas industry.
- Ability to work in harsh and challenging environments.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
