Network Engineer (Telecom Company)

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network systems for telecom infrastructure.
• Ensure the proper functioning and security of networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
• Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including connectivity, latency, and security problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy new network systems or upgrades.
• Conduct regular network assessments, including vulnerability scans and penetration testing, to ensure network security.
• Maintain network documentation, including configurations, network topology, and schematics.
• Provide technical support and training to internal teams and clients regarding network issues and best practices.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and telecom innovations.
• Ensure compliance with telecom industry regulations and standards.

Skills

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering, preferably in telecom.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.) and technologies (VPN, VLAN, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
• Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
• Certification in networking (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
