Role Overview:
The Operations Executive will play a pivotal role in managing and streamlining the underwriting and claims processes for non-motor general insurance products, including property, liability, marine, travel, and others. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a solid understanding of non-motor insurance operations, regulatory compliance, and customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:1. Underwriting Support (Non-Motor):
- Policy Issuance & Documentation:
- Process and review proposals for non-motor insurance products such as property, liability, marine, travel, and others.
- Ensure accurate and timely issuance of policies, endorsements, and renewals.
- Coordinate with insurers to negotiate terms and premium quotes for non-motor policies.
- Risk Assessment:
- Assist in evaluating the risk profiles for non-motor policies and propose appropriate coverage and premiums.
- Maintain detailed records of underwriting decisions and justifications.
- Compliance & Accuracy:
- Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines, company policies, and IRDAI regulations for non-motor products.
- Conduct regular audits of policy documentation to maintain accuracy and compliance.
2. Claims Management (Non-Motor):
- Claims Processing:
- Handle claim intimation, documentation, and coordination with insurers, surveyors, and clients for non-motor claims, including travel insurance claims.
- Monitor the end-to-end claims lifecycle to ensure prompt resolution.
- Assist clients with claim queries related to property, liability, marine, travel, and other non-motor claims.
- Data Maintenance:
- Maintain a comprehensive claims database with updated statuses and resolutions for non-motor claims.
- Analyze claim trends and provide insights for risk management in non-motor insurance categories.
- Customer Support:
- Act as a liaison between clients and insurers to ensure smooth claims settlements.
- Proactively follow up to reduce claim processing time for non-motor insurance products.
3. Operations & Process Optimization:
- Develop and improve standard operating procedures for non-motor underwriting and claims.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimize workflows.
- Regularly update operational records and generate reports for management review.
4. Customer Relationship Management:
- Provide excellent service to existing and prospective clients by addressing their policy and claims-related needs.
- Educate clients on available non-motor insurance products and coverage options, including travel insurance.
- Ensure timely resolution of client issues, fostering trust and long-term relationships.
5. MIS & Reporting:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on non-motor underwriting and claims operations.
- Track performance metrics and provide inputs to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certifications such as Licentiate or Associate from the Insurance Institute of India (preferred).
- Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in non-motor general insurance operations, underwriting, or claims.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in insurance software (Policy admin systems, CRM tools).
- Advanced MS Excel and report generation skills.
- Core Competencies:
- Strong understanding of non-motor general insurance products, including property, liability, marine, and travel insurance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
