Welder - Steel Pipe Welding

Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding tasks on steel pipes using various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, or Stick welding.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine work requirements.
  • Prepare and clean steel pipe surfaces for welding, including cutting, grinding, and fitting pipe sections.
  • Ensure all welds meet quality standards and are completed in a timely and safe manner.
  • Inspect finished welds for integrity, smoothness, and adherence to specifications.
  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure proper handling of welding equipment and materials.
  • Work with project managers and team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.



Skills

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Welding certification (e.g., AWS or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in steel pipe welding, preferably in industrial or construction settings.
  • Skills:
  • Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) and use of welding equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of welding safety standards and practices.
