We are seeking a seasoned Project Director/Manager with extensive experience in the oil and gas sector, specifically in setting up small-scale crude oil refineries/ managing the operation of crude oil refineries. The ideal candidate will lead the design, construction, and commissioning and day to day operations of the refinery while building and managing a skilled team to achieve project objectives efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the end-to-end planning, design, and implementation of the oil refinery project.
2. Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, equipment, and suppliers.
3. Develop a detailed project timeline, budget, and resource plan.
4. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and environmental standards.
5. Assemble and lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and support staff.
6. Coordinate with local authorities and stakeholders within the Hamriyah Free Zone.
7. Identify and mitigate potential risks during project execution.
8. Establish operational workflows for refining petroleum products.
9. Manage project performance, reporting progress to stakeholders.
10. Transition the refinery from project to operational phase successfully.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3-10 years of experience in oil refinery project management.
3. Proven track record of designing and commissioning small to mid-sized refineries.
4. Deep understanding of crude oil processing and petroleum product extraction.
5. Strong leadership and team-building skills.
6. Proficient in project management software and tools.
7. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in the UAE or similar regions.
8. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in free zones or similar industrial clusters.
• Expertise in sustainability and green practices in refinery operations.
