Job Overview
The Procurement Officer will manage the sourcing and purchasing of goods, materials, and services required by the company. This role ensures cost-efficiency, quality, and timely delivery by negotiating contracts and maintaining supplier relationships. Key Responsibilities
Sourcing and Purchasing:
- Identify potential suppliers and conduct competitive bidding processes.
- Evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate pricing, and secure favorable contract terms.
- Place and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
- Address supplier performance issues and ensure compliance with contract terms.
- Evaluate and onboard new suppliers as needed.
Cost Control and Analysis:
- Conduct cost analyses to identify potential savings.
- Monitor market trends to ensure competitive pricing.
- Develop strategies to reduce procurement expenses while maintaining quality standards.
Risk and Compliance:
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assess and mitigate risks in the supply chain to prevent disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal departments (e.g., finance, operations, logistics) to determine procurement needs.
- Align procurement strategies with overall business objectives.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to drive procurement projects.
Skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field.
- 3+ years of UAE experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing roles.
- Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, ODOO).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of contract management and supplier evaluation processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification (e.g., CPSM – Certified Professional in Supply Management, MBA Supply chain)
- Experience in international sourcing and procurement.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement analytics tools.
