The HSE Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance within the oil and gas industry. This position is vital for promoting a safe working environment, minimizing risks, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. The HSE Officer will be responsible for implementing safety protocols, conducting training sessions, and monitoring compliance with safety regulations. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards and implementing effective measures to mitigate risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health, safety, and environmental management, with a passion for promoting safety culture within the organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
2. Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures tailored to the oil and gas industry.
3. Provide training and guidance to employees on safety practices and emergency response protocols.
4. Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
5. Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
6. Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
7. Assist in the preparation of HSE documentation for regulatory submissions.
8. Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
9. Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
10. Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment with safety standards.

Educational Qualification : Any Bachelor Degree OR Diploma (from an institution of higher learning authorized to grant academic degrees in the country of issue). (UAE attested Certificate)

Technical Qualification: NEBOSH IGC. (ADNOC approval preferred)

Work Experience: Minimum one of the following: Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in HSE in any industry, with at least 1 year experience in Oil and Gas construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects / operations / production in the oil & gas or petro-chemical industries. (ADNOC approval preferred)

Work Location: The positions are based in Habshan and Bu Hasa, both major oil and gas facilities in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
