As the Insights & Intelligence Manager, you’ll lead the way in developing and improving systems and projects. You’ll work closely with different teams to bring data together and deliver insights that help leaders make impactful decisions, plan effectively, and measure success. Key Result Areas:
1) Manage the development of a hub of business intelligence solutions that supports business decision making that address customer and product insights.
2) Manage the project delivery of innovative solutions including new products and analytics with the purpose of increasing efficiency and cost optimisation across the business.
3) Lead projects in terms of operational and cost saving initiatives, system developments as well as integration with any third-party platforms that would enhance user interaction.
4) Monitor and analyse impact of process change pertaining to cost in order to identify benefits of process change.
5) Manage, track and interrogate query period meal variances and catering wastage data to ensure an improvement in the matching of meals planned to final PAX on-board and a reduction in wasted meals by performing gap analysis at all levels of the department.
6) Support the Sr. Manager – Insights & Intelligence to produce key analytical reports based on data captured from catering business areas that show recommendations and the production of daily/weekly/monthly dashboards of key performance metrics.
7) Develop a needs assessment process, and create an instructional design process with appropriate delivery methods and post training evaluations to ensure the solutions delivered are in line with industry best practices.
8) Lead, motivate and develop the team with the objective to build and retain a consistent high-performing team, covering all aspects of managing Systems, the Menu Development Planning and forecasting activities, engineer and maintain products & procedures, operationalize the application of data and information in order to deliver optimal performance and cost-effective service.
Job Context:
This position requires to collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to develop and manage the insights and intelligence function, ensure continuous improvement to identify, capture, analyse, share insights and gather intelligence.
It will provide thought leadership and execute improvements that adapt our internal processes to increase the efficiency, speed, and quality of BI analysis for EKFC leadership.
Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience:
Education Qualification:
a) Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent (Must)
b) MBA or equivalent other post-graduate university education (preferred)
Work Experience:
a) Minimum 7 years’ experience in an analytical role in an airline catering environment with hands-on experience with large-scale data modelling, and business requirements gathering/analysis.
b) Familiar in systems, airlines and catering business in order to propose and build best suited solutions & systems.
Skills:
a) Professional at building relationships, leading a team, communication, problem solving, ability to influence & persuade and negotiation skills.
b) Ability to confidently present and communicate meaningful business recommendations to internal and external stakeholders, using detailed insight and analysis.
c) Ability to work independently and manage and influence the team in a fast-paced high volume catering environment with emphasis on accuracy and tight timeline.
d) Strong supervisory skills, proficient planning and organising, problem solving, ability to work under significant pressure in a fast-paced catering environment.
e) Expert in advanced Excel, Microsoft office products, web-based catering systems, technical modelling development and project experience.
f) Excellent information management skills including the ability to gather, analyse and present large and complex data sets (quantitative and qualitative) from a wide range of sources effectively and the use of complex statistical analysis
