The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing all purchasing activities for the property development company, ensuring the procurement of goods and services is done efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with the company's objectives and project timelines.
The role includes sourcing products and services, negotiating prices and terms, and managing relationships with vendors.
Responsibilities
Company Policies
Follow company procurement strategies to support property development projects and associated departments. Collaborate with departments to determine material and service requirements.
Prequalification of Vendors
Must have an expertise in prequalification of vendors based on their experience, presence in market and submit their documents for approval after reviewing all relevant documents.
Supplier Sourcing and Management
Identifying potential supplier and managing existing suppliers.
Procurement Documentation
Must have expertise in procurement documentation i.e. RFQ, s Comparisons, PO, s, Delivery Notes, Invoices, Purchase returns. Manage the procurement process from sourcing to finalization of quotes and specifications.
PR Cycle Time Management
Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services as per project / department timelines. Monitor and track orders, deliveries, and supplier performance.
Compliance and Documentation
Ensure all procurement activities comply with local laws and regulations, including Dubai’s construction and real estate guidelines. Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and invoices.
Vendor and Supplier Evaluation
Continuously assess supplier performance, quality of products, and service delivery. Resolve any disputes or issues related to procurement in a timely and efficient manner.
Inventory Management
Oversee stock control and inventory management for materials and supplies used in development projects. Ensure sufficient stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 4–5 years of LOCAL experience in procurement is must for this opening, preferably within property development or construction in UAE.
Strong negotiation and communication skills Excellent knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and negotiation.
Familiarity with construction materials, building supplies, and services Proficient in procurement software preferably in MS Dynamics and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of the Dubai real estate market, local suppliers, and regulatory requirements is preferred.
