Job Summary: The Accountant/HR will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations as well as overseeing human resources functions. This role requires attention to detail, organization, and the ability to balance accounting responsibilities with HR duties. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain financial records, process payroll, and support employee relations, recruitment, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage financial statements, reports, and budgets.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor financial transactions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely tax filings and compliance with local tax regulations.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and documentation.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual audits and financial reviews.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with financial forecasting.

HR Responsibilities:

  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate compensation.
  • Maintain employee records, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Support employee relations, including handling grievances, disputes, and employee inquiries.
  • Assist in performance management processes, including appraisals and feedback.
  • Organize employee training and development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR policies.
  • Manage employee benefits and assist with employee engagement initiatives.


Skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting and human resources roles.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, payroll systems, and HR best practices.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance requirements.

Preferred:

  • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or HR-related certifications) is a plus.
