Local Sales Representative

  • Good understanding of the rice, sugar, cooking oil and other foodstuff markets, including pricing trends, demand fluctuations, and supply chain factors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local clients and business partners.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and generate leads within the UAE market.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings, presentations, and negotiations with potential customers.
  • Understand customer needs and provide suitable product/service recommendations.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the company.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and customer databases.
  • Handle inquiries, follow up on leads, and ensure excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
  • Stay updated with market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events as required.

Skills

  • Experience: 3-5 years in local sales within the UAE.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred but can be overlooked if the candidate has relevant experience.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, especially in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Language proficiency in English, Hindi, and Urdu is required; Arabic is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Familiarity with the UAE market and local business culture.
  • Good knowledge of rice, sugar, cooking oil and other foodstuff markets and their distribution channels.
  • Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
