The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel generators and associated electrical systems. The role requires strong technical knowledge, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to work independently on various rental projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform electrical installation, maintenance, and repairs on diesel generators ranging from 40kVA to 1500kVA.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in control panels, alternators and generator electrical system.
• Electrical wiring of new generators, including control panels and electrical components.
• Install and commission rental generators plants on customer sites, including cable laying and connection to load panels.
• Install and operate LV/MV temporary power plants
• Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance on generator electrical systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Configure and troubleshoot synchronizing panels and load-sharing systems.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all site activities.
• Maintain accurate service records, including job cards and service reports.
• Provide technical support to customers and advise on electrical issues.
• Collaborate with the mechanical team to ensure complete system functionality.
• Respond to emergency breakdown calls as required.
Skills
Requirements:
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an electrician in the power generation industry (rental power experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of generator control systems (DEIF ,Deep Sea, ComAp, Woodward, etc.).
• Experience with synchronization panels, ATS systems, and load management.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
• Valid UAE driving license is must.
• Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Willingness to travel to client sites across UAE/OMAN.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Diploma or Certification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of both LV and MV systems.
• Experience with hybrid power solutions or renewable energy integration.
• Basic knowledge of diesel engine systems.
