Project Management:
- Manage and oversee mechanical activities and interfacing from inception to completion.
- Ensuring compliance with contract requirements, design specifications, applicable codes and regulatory requirements to ascertain quality and safety.
- Be well versed with the applicable codes, local regulations and industry standards to discharge duties.
- Collaborate with project managers, site staff, engineers, and contractors to develop mechanical project plans and schedules.
- Prepare project progress reports, documentation, and as-built drawings for client review and approval.
- Ensure the timely completion of mechanical project milestones within the allocated budget.
- Regularly report on project progress to senior management.
Mechanical System Design:
- Review of site related documentations like method statements, installation drawings, site testing procedures etc.
- Review of decommissioning study, feasibility study and associated risk assessment.
- Review and interpret mechanical engineering drawings and specifications.
- Provide technical support during construction activities and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
- Collaborate with design teams to review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Addressing technical queries and providing solutions to any challenges encountered during implementation.
- Provide valuable input into the design phase to optimize mechanical systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with local mechanical codes and regulations.
Installation and Maintenance:
- Raising the NCR (Non-Compliance Report) as and when any non-compliance found by EPC/contractors. Also, guide the EPC/contractors to resolve the issues to meet the project requirements/codes and standards.
- Closely monitor, guide and regulate the interfacing issues between contractors and providing heads up to avoid re-work.
- Investigate and report any safety incidents or near misses.
- Conducting regular inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to optimize project outcomes and mitigate risks.
- Supervise the on-site installation of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Conduct systematic inspections to ensure the quality and safety of mechanical installations.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a team of mechanical technicians and support staff.
- Offer guidance, training, and mentorship to junior team members.
- Cultivate a culture of safety and professionalism within the team.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior engineering staff members as needed.
Quality Assurance:
- Establish and maintain robust quality control procedures for mechanical work.
- Perform meticulous quality inspections to identify and rectify issues promptly.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Guarantee that all mechanical work adheres to safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Investigate and report any safety incidents or near misses.
Budget Management:
- Efficiently manage the mechanical project budget, including cost estimation and control.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
